Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide

Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA) is a Mexican professional wrestling promotion founded on April 15, 1992, by Antonio Peña, who departed from CMLL with several wrestlers to form a competing promotion.

AAA quickly became the second-largest wrestling promotion in Mexico and is known for its more modern, entertainment-focused approach compared to the traditional style of CMLL. The promotion has been home to legendary luchadores including Konnan, La Parka, Chessman, Vampiro, Rey Mysterio Jr., Psychosis, Juventud Guerrera, El Hijo del Santo, Dr. Wagner Jr., and Pentagon Jr.

AAA's major annual events include Triplemania (the company's WrestleMania equivalent), Rey de Reyes, Verano de Escándalo, and Guerra de Titanes. The promotion has partnerships with various international companies including AEW and Impact Wrestling. AAA is also known for creating the Lucha Underground television series (2014-2018), which brought lucha libre to American audiences with a unique cinematic presentation.
