About

Raw is a brand of WWE, the American professional wrestling promotion, established on March 25, 2002. Brands function as divisions of WWE's roster, with wrestlers assigned to perform on a weekly basis during periods when a brand extension is in effect. Raw is one of WWE's two main brands, alongside SmackDown, both of which were formed in 2002 following WWE's absorption of WCW. Together, Raw and SmackDown constitute WWE's main roster. The brand extension was discontinued between August 2011 and July 2016. Wrestlers assigned to Raw primarily appear on the weekly television program Monday Night Raw, which began in 1993.

Beyond its flagship program, Raw also utilizes the supplementary show Main Event for less-featured wrestlers. The brand's talent competes on pay-per-view and livestreaming events, as well as the quarterly Saturday Night's Main Event special. Raw wrestlers additionally appear in WWE's sister promotion, Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide, which WWE acquired in 2025. During the second brand split, Raw's cruiserweight wrestlers competed on 205 Live from 2016 to 2018, before that show became its own brand.
