About

Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide, commonly known as AAA or "Triple A," is a Mexican professional wrestling promotion based in Mexico City, Mexico. Founded in 1992 by Antonio Peña, a former booker for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL), the promotion was established after Peña broke away from CMLL with the backing of Televisa, seeking greater creative freedom. The promotion's full name, Asistencia, Asesoría y Administración de Espectáculos, translates to "Assistance, Advisory, and Administration of Spectacles," and its extensive touring schedule has earned it the nickname "La Caravana 3 Veces Estelar," or "The 3-Star Caravan."

Under Peña's direction, AAA distinguished itself from CMLL by incorporating telenovela-inspired sports entertainment elements, outlandish gimmicks, and more extreme match styles, occasionally utilizing a hexagonal ring in addition to the traditional squared circle. The promotion has maintained working relationships with organizations including All Elite Wrestling, Major League Wrestling, and the National Wrestling Alliance, and has hosted events in the United States and Japan alongside its primary Mexican market. In August 2025, WWE finalized an acquisition of AAA, securing a 51% controlling stake in partnership with Mexican company Fillip.
