WWE NXT is an American professional wrestling television program produced by WWE, currently airing live every Tuesday at 8 p.m. Eastern Time on The CW in the United States and on Netflix in most international markets. The show serves as the flagship television program of WWE's NXT brand division.
NXT initially debuted on February 23, 2010, on Syfy, replacing WWE ECW. In its original format, the show was presented as a hybrid between WWE's scripted live event programming and reality television, featuring talent from WWE's developmental territory Florida Championship Wrestling competing in a competition to become WWE's next breakout star, with mentors from the Raw and SmackDown brands. Five seasons aired under this format, with Wade Barrett, Kaval, Kaitlyn, and Johnny Curtis among the winners. In June 2012, WWE revamped the show as a developmental wrestling program, replacing Florida Championship Wrestling entirely. NXT expanded to a live two-hour format on the USA Network in 2019 before transitioning to The CW in October 2024, earning praise for its high quality of wrestling and storylines, particularly between 2014 and 2018.
