Continental Wrestling Association was a professional wrestling promotion based in Memphis, Tennessee that operated from 1977 to 1989. CWA was the successor to the NWA Mid-America territory and became famous for the Jerry Lawler vs. Andy Kaufman feud. The promotion was instrumental in launching the careers of Jerry Lawler, Bill Dundee, and the Rock n Roll Express.
