World Wonder Ring Stardom
World Wonder Ring Stardom is a Japanese women's professional wrestling promotion founded in 2010 by Rossy Ogawa, former joshi (women's) wrestling star Nanae Takahashi, and Fuka Kakimoto.
Stardom quickly became the premier women's wrestling promotion in Japan, known for producing highly athletic and intense matches. The promotion has been home to world-class talents including Io Shirai (now Iyo Sky in WWE), Kairi Sane, Mayu Iwatani, Giulia, Syuri, Utami Hayashishita, and numerous other accomplished wrestlers.
The company was acquired by Bushiroad (owners of NJPW) in 2019, significantly increasing its production values and exposure. Stardom's major events include the Stardom Anniversary Show and their annual 5Star Grand Prix tournament. The promotion features multiple championships and has developed working relationships with international promotions. Stardom is credited with elevating women's wrestling globally.
