Biography
Joshua Raymond (born April 13, 1984) is an American professional wrestler best known by his ring name Josh Abercrombie. He trained under Jimmy Jacobs, Frankie The Face, and Truth Martini, and has also worked under the aliases Billy Bong and Josh Raymond. Raymond is recognized primarily for his work in Independent Wrestling Association Mid-South, Juggalo Championship Wrestling, Ring of Honor, and the short-lived Wrestling Society X.
Raymond began his professional wrestling career in 2003, debuting for Ian Rotten's IWA Mid-South promotion on October 23 of that year in a match against Steve Stone. He subsequently competed across Midwestern independent promotions before returning to IWA Mid-South in October 2004. Early in 2005, he entered a notable feud with Rotten that included a match within the NWA Indiana State Championship tournament, which Rotten won. The feud culminated in a barbed wire rope match in which Abercrombie humorously arrived wrapped in bubble wrap. Rotten broke his hand punching Abercrombie during the bout, and Abercrombie capitalized on the injury to win by submission. Later that year, on April 9, Abercrombie won the one-night "Simply The Best" tournament, defeating Jonny Storm in the first round and pinning El Generico in a four-way bout that also featured Matt Cross and Sonjay Dutt.
