Biography

Trudy Adams was an American actress and retired professional wrestler whose career spanned from 1987 to 1991. She competed under two primary ring names: Amy the Farmer's Daughter and Brandi Mae.

Adams debuted in early 1987 with the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling promotion as Amy the Farmer's Daughter, appearing during the promotion's second television season. There she formed a successful tag team with The California Doll, Jane Hamlin. When promoter David McLane departed GLOW in 1987 to launch the Powerful Women of Wrestling, Adams was among the performers who followed him to the new promotion. She adopted the ring name Brandi Mae while retaining her country farmer character, and reunited with Hamlin, now known as Malibu, as the tag team The Bombshell Blondes. The duo became top contenders for the POWW Tag Team Championship, then held by Luna Vachon and Hot Rod Andie.

In 1988, Adams joined the American Wrestling Association while continuing to work for POWW. As Brandi Mae, she became the top contender for the AWA World Women's Championship, held by Madusa Miceli, engaging in both singles and tag team matches against her. Adams also served as manager for Rocky Mountain Thunder and Cousin Luke during this period, and in December 1988 competed in a nine-woman battle royal at the AWA SuperClash III pay-per-view.
