Biography

Alipate Aloisio Leone (born October 15, 1982), better known by his ring name Tama Tonga, is a Tongan-American professional wrestler currently signed to WWE, where he performs on the SmackDown brand as a member of the MFT stable. Trained by the Dudley Boyz, Ricky Santana, Haku, Jado, and Karl Anderson, Leone began his professional wrestling career in 2008 and has competed under several aliases throughout his career, including Kava, King Tonga Jr., and Tonga Strong Machine.

From 2010 to 2024, Leone was a fixture of New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW), where he served as a founding member of the influential Bullet Club stable alongside Bad Luck Fale, Karl Anderson, and Prince Devitt. He also co-founded the tag team Guerrillas of Destiny alongside his brother Tanga Loa, a partnership that yielded seven IWGP Tag Team Championship reigns, the 2020 World Tag League tournament, and the ROH World Tag Team Championship. As a singles competitor in NJPW, Leone captured the NEVER Openweight Championship four times. His work extended to NJPW's Mexican partner promotion CMLL, where he held the CMLL World Tag Team Championship twice. Leone subsequently made his WWE debut as a member of The Bloodline stable and is a former two-time WWE Tag Team Champion.
