Impact has been home to numerous wrestling stars including Kurt Angle, Sting, AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Bobby Roode, Eric Young, The Motor City Machine Guns, and the Knockouts division which has been praised for elevating women's wrestling.

Impact Wrestling has had various ownership and management changes throughout its history, including a period under the control of Panda Energy International through the Carter family. The company is currently owned by Anthem Sports & Entertainment. Impact's weekly television program airs on AXS TV, with major events including Bound for Glory (the company's flagship event), Slammiversary, and Rebellion.
