D-Generation X

D-Generation X (DX) was an American professional wrestling stable formed in 1997 in the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE) at the dawn of the Attitude Era. Originally created as a foil to The Hart Foundation, the group's most notable members included Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Chyna, X-Pac, and the New Age Outlaws (Road Dogg and Billy Gunn), with Rick Rude among its founding members. DX became one of the main driving forces behind the WWF's competition with World Championship Wrestling (WCW) during the Monday Night War before officially disbanding in August 2000.
Following a teased reunion in 2002, DX reformed in June 2006 as a duo of Triple H and Shawn Michaels, and again in August 2009 until March 2010, shortly before Michaels' retirement. This incarnation was voted the greatest WWE Tag Team Champions of all time in a 2013 WWE viewer poll. In 2018, Triple H and Michaels defeated The Undertaker and Kane at the Crown Jewel pay-per-view. In 2019, the group — comprising Triple H, Michaels, Chyna, the New Age Outlaws, and X-Pac — was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
