Triple H

Biography

Paul Michael Levesque, born July 27, 1969, is an American professional wrestler, promoter, and business executive best known by his ring name Triple H. Trained by Killer Kowalski, he began his wrestling career in 1992 under the name Terra Ryzing before gaining mainstream exposure in World Championship Wrestling in 1994 as Jean-Paul Levesque. He signed with the World Wrestling Federation in 1995, where he became Hunter Hearst Helmsley, a name later shortened to Triple H.

During the Attitude Era, Levesque rose to prominence as a member of The Kliq and co-founder of D-Generation X. He went on to become a 14-time world champion in WWE, capturing the WWF/WWE Championship nine times and the World Heavyweight Championship five times. He is a two-time Royal Rumble winner, the seventh Triple Crown winner, and the second Grand Slam winner in WWE history. He headlined WrestleMania seven times throughout his career.

Beyond in-ring competition, Levesque has been credited with creating WWE's developmental brand NXT and spearheading the company's international expansion. He retired from in-ring performing in 2022 due to health concerns but continues in an executive role as WWE's chief content officer. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of D-Generation X in 2019 and individually in 2025.
