Biography
Jeffrey Nero Hardy (born August 31, 1977) is an American professional wrestler born and raised in Cameron, North Carolina. He began his career in youth trampoline wrestling alongside his brother Matt Hardy, which eventually transitioned into the Organization of Modern Extreme Grappling Arts (OMEGA). The Hardy Boyz began working as enhancement talents for the World Wrestling Federation in 1994 before signing full-time contracts in 1998. Trained by Dory Funk Jr. and Michael Hayes, Hardy gained widespread recognition through his participation in Tables, Ladders and Chairs matches, and with the addition of Lita, the group became known as Team Xtreme. Together, the Hardy Boyz are credited with helping revive tag team wrestling during the Attitude Era.
After splitting from his brother in 2002, Hardy flourished as a singles competitor. He captured his first world championship, the WWE Championship, in 2008, and went on to hold six world titles across his career. He became WWE's 18th Triple Crown Champion and 9th Grand Slam Champion, and readers of Pro Wrestling Illustrated named him "Most Popular Wrestler of the Year" on two occasions. He has also competed in TNA, where he is a former four-time TNA World Tag Team Champion, and in All Elite Wrestling.
