Biography
Patricia Anne Stratigeas, born December 18, 1975, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, is a professional wrestler, yoga instructor, actress, and former fitness model better known by her ring name Trish Stratus. Trained by Ron Hutchison and Fit Finlay, she initially studied at York University with aspirations of becoming a doctor before pursuing a career in fitness modeling. She began working for the World Wrestling Federation in 2000.
Early in her WWE career, Stratus was involved in sexually themed storylines, including managing the tag team T&A and a kayfabe affair with WWE owner Vince McMahon. As her in-ring experience grew and her popularity increased, she became a one-time WWE Hardcore Champion, a three-time "WWE Babe of the Year," and was proclaimed "Diva of the Decade." She retired from full-time competition on September 17, 2006, at WWE Unforgiven, having won her record seventh WWE Women's Championship. Her 448-day reign as WWF/WWE Women's Champion stands as the longest reign of any women's world champion in the 21st century. She was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2013.
Following her retirement, Stratus made periodic returns to WWE, competing at events including WrestleMania XXVII, the inaugural Women's Royal Rumble in 2018, and WrestleMania 39 in 2023. Outside wrestling, she served as a judge on WWE Tough Enough, appeared in the film Bail Enforcers, and was featured as a judge on Canada's Got Talent from 2022 to 2024.
