The 2020 Royal Rumble was a professional wrestling pay-per-view and livestreaming event produced by WWE, held on January 26, 2020, at Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas. The 33rd annual installment of the event drew an attendance of 42,715 and featured wrestlers from WWE's Raw and SmackDown brand divisions across eight total matches, including two on the Kickoff pre-show.

The event was notable for several reasons. For the first time, NXT championships were eligible choices for the Royal Rumble match winners, meaning both men's and women's winners could select from three titles heading into WrestleMania 36. Drew McIntyre won the men's Royal Rumble match by last eliminating Roman Reigns, while Charlotte Flair won the women's match by last eliminating Shayna Baszler. Other prominent bouts saw "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt retain the Universal Championship against Daniel Bryan in a strap match and Becky Lynch defeat Asuka to retain the Raw Women's Championship. The event also marked the in-ring return of Edge, who had last competed in April 2011 before retiring due to a neck injury.
