Hulk Hogan

Biography

Terry Gene Bollea (August 11, 1953 – July 24, 2025), better known by his ring name Hulk Hogan, was an American professional wrestler and media personality. Widely regarded as one of the greatest and most recognized wrestlers of all time, Hogan was trained by Hiro Matsuda and began his career in 1977. He competed across numerous promotions, including the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), World Championship Wrestling (WCW), the American Wrestling Association (AWA), Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA), and New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW). Known for his showmanship, large physique, and trademark blond American Fu Manchu moustache and bandanas, he achieved global stardom after joining the WWF in 1983.

Hogan won the WWF Championship six times, with his first reign lasting 1,474 days. He became the first wrestler to win back-to-back Royal Rumbles in 1990 and 1991. After joining WCW in 1994, he reinvented himself as the villainous Hollywood Hogan and led the New World Order (nWo). He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005, again in 2020 as part of the nWo, and posthumously a third time in 2026. Outside wrestling, Hogan appeared in films including Rocky III and No Holds Barred.
