Biography
Colby Daniel Lopez, born May 28, 1986, is an American professional wrestler best known by his ring name Seth Rollins. He began his professional wrestling career in 2004, trained by Danny Daniels, and competed under various aliases including Tyler Black before rising to national prominence.
Prior to joining WWE in 2010, Lopez wrestled as Tyler Black for Ring of Honor, where he held the ROH World Championship and the ROH World Tag Team Championship twice alongside Jimmy Jacobs. He also captured the FIP World Heavyweight Championship and the PWG World Tag Team Championship, also with Jacobs, while competing across several independent promotions. In WWE's developmental system, he became the inaugural FCW Grand Slam Champion and the inaugural NXT Champion before debuting on the main roster in November 2012 as a member of The Shield, alongside Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns.
Rollins has since become one of WWE's most decorated performers, achieving six world championship reigns encompassing the WWE Championship, WWE Universal Championship, and World Heavyweight Championship. He is recognized as WWE's 29th Triple Crown Champion and 19th Grand Slam Champion. He topped Pro Wrestling Illustrated's PWI 500 list in 2015, 2019, and 2023, was named PWI Wrestler of the Year in 2015 and 2023, and received Sports Illustrated's Wrestler of the Year honor in 2022.
